My therapist called me a "bargain basement Dave Grohl;" what a compliment, especially for a 90's guy! I grew up in New England (the northeastern region of the US) - My life has been a struggle with depression, abuse, anxiety, alcoholism and illness. I "turned a corner" when Buddhism entered my life. I really appreciate the values of that faith/philosophy; I have learned to have more love and patience for myself, to appreciate my resilience and strength in the face of those obstacles, to have compassion for myself and all those who are struggling in this crazy world.
I am a CPA/accountant; I work part of the year in the US - but want to be anywhere else right now; I'm sure you can guess why :( - and remotely the rest of the year. I have spent most of the last 5 years living in working in Mexico, having moved there to have a long relationship with a Mexicana (obviously that's over). I own a house there, but really I could live anywhere in this world - I am so curious about so many places.
A lot of women here are complaining about scams, and I have certainly been approached by scammers. Please stay safe out there, everybody, and feel free to ask me if something about my profile seems suspicious: I am a real person out there trying to meet "my forever person," and I hope you are, too!

I am not threatened by women who are smarter, more emotionally intelligent and more accomplished than me; relationships are not competitions for me. I am looking for someone with her own interests and idiosyncracies - a unique and interesting person in her own way.
As far as kids, I am ready to be like a father to a child or two, but I had a vasectomy, sorry in advance that having my children will be difficult.
