Firstly, thank you for liking my picture enough to learn more about me, I encourage you to take the time to read over my profile and send me a non-generic response if you truly are interested in me.
I am going to go about writing this profile in a completely incorrect manner; my hope is that you will appreciate my honesty and I will attract a kindred spirit that will be drawn to my awkward openness rather than repelled by it. Instead of telling you my strengths, I want to list my flaws. First, I’m shy, which has prevented me from really engaging in dating the way I should have throughout my life. I’m a nerd, perhaps some of you will like that, but my interests tend not to be enjoyed by the masses.
I was married, and I stayed in that relationship longer than I should have because I take commitment seriously. I tried to fix what wasn’t working, but I’ve come to accept that not everything can be fixed, and sometimes the right decision is to move forward. That experience made me more self-aware and more intentional about what I want going forward.
Years before getting married, I knew true love with someone else, something that most people will never truly experience. Alas fate had seen fit to prevent us from living happily ever after.
I am in the military, and my job does entail some risk when I am deployed.
As for my strengths, I am in great physical shape (I work out a lot even though I hate it) and routinely get mistaken for someone ten years younger. I am very intelligent, but this is often as much a flaw as it is a strength. I am very introspective, which is why I am so critical of myself but also how I learn from my mistakes. I am a bit of a linguaphile, and am able to pick up new languages fairly quickly, I am currently working on Spanish.

I would like to find a beautiful woman that will challenge me both physically and mentally. Someone that will challenge me physically by wanting to workout with me in some way such as yoga, running, or aerobics, and mentally by debating philosophy and teaching me a new language. Because of this you must be able to speak English at a conversational level at the very least.
I do not believe in god or any form of higher spirituality or fate, and although agnostic fits my belief system well enough, nihilist would be a more appropriate title for me.
Someone who is able to tolerate my interests if not enjoy them as well. These interests include guns, video games, board/card games, and punk rock music. I love dogs and you should as well, I have a habit of adopting dogs that I find on the street and giving them long, happy lives.
I want to find true love again, someone that I enjoy being around every second, who I can't help but have a stupid smile on my face simply by being near her or talking with her over the phone, someone who i can tell loves me deeply by her expression.
Know that I want to take things slow, but if communication does go well for us, I will want to visit you for a time to ensure that we truly are compatible. I will have to make a conscious effort not to rush things, but I also don’t want to wait forever.
If you decide to send me a message, I’d like you to include some form of philosophical question for me so that I know you not only read this but also have the ability to converse with me on a complex level.
I know that I’m an acquired taste, but my tastes tend to be unique and I’m hoping to find my unique match.
