Antigua and Barbuda is a twin-island nation lying between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. It consists of two major islands, (Antigua and Barbuda), and a number of smaller ones. The ethnic composition is made up primarily of Black or Mulatto. The official language here is English, but many of the locals speak Antiguan Creole. The majority of the population is Christian. The country is nicknamed the "Land of 365 Beaches" due to the many beaches that encircle the islands. The land is mostly low-lying limestone and coral islands, with some higher volcanic areas. The climate is tropical and pleasant all year round.
