It is one of the countries with the largest indigenous population in Latin America. Guatemalans usually are a polite and pleasant people; they are very socially aware, kind, and hard-working. They value family relationships and, though they are more reserved than people in other Latin countries, they are contented and happy in their own quiet way.
The Republic of Guatemala is a country in Central America between Mexico and Honduras, having as its borders both coasts of the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean. It is the most populous state in Central America with Spanish as the official language and Catholicism as its main faith. The country is mountainous and features breathtaking volcanoes, lush jungles, pristine lakes and beaches. While parts have a climate typical of a tropical country, other areas actually see temperatures below freezing in the mountains.
