In contrast to Western families, most of whom emphasize financial security over other values, Iranian families place more focus on the extended family and rely upon its emotional support. Men from this culture are hard-working, respectful, friendly yet confident, and loyal. They have a good sense of humor, highly prize education, and will never let you be bored in their company! They always pay attention to how they look, be it nice clothes, well-groomed hair, accessories, cologne, or whatever else. Be aware that, despite the fact that many women work, Iranian culture is class based, traditional, and patriarchal. Despite the adaptation of western codes of behavior by many Iranians, often spouse selection in many cases still involves parents and their approval.
The Islamic Republic of Iran is a country in western Asia; it is a major regional player and mid-sized power. It is home to one of the world's oldest civilizations with Persian being the official language and Islam the main religion. It is the only country that has both a Caspian Sea and Indian Ocean coastline and also is one of the world’s most mountainous countries. Iran's climate ranges from arid or semiarid, to subtropical along the Caspian coast.
The northern part of Iran is covered by dense rain forests called Shomal, otherwise known as the Jungles of Iran. The eastern part consists mostly of desert basins such as the Dasht-e Kavir, Iran's largest desert in the north-central portion of the country, and the Dasht-e Lut in the east of the country, as well as some remarkable salt lakes.
