About Me
Sometimes too serious and concerned about the condition of the world, on the other hand, easy-going and humorous, but, by no means ordinary--looking to settle down and just enjoy the "golden years." with a kindred spirit. I’ve been all over, and the world is getting crazy out there.
Used to be a New Age teacher and healer, and was the director of the Berkeley Holistic Health Center in California once upon a time; now just an old hermit with a paid-for-home in a safe location, organic garden, and pure water. (Perhaps you are aware of the impending peril...)
A good way to check out where my head is at is to look at the books I have written, available at Amazon.com: "Journey into Consciousness: The Chakras, Kundalini, and Jungian Psychology," republished as "The Tantric Path," is an in depth expose on the methods and insight of Tibetan Buddhism from the perspective of Jungian Psychology and a longtime Vajrayana practitioner who has received some of the highest initiations and empowerments. "The Quantum Gospel." For our western culture, Jesus is the preeminent model of the daughters and sons of God we are destined to become. "The Quantum Gospel" takes an eye-opening look at the history and mythology of the Judeo-Christian tradition in order to make a clear distinction between it and what Jesus actually taught. "The Way of Karma" records insights into emotional and mental health and spiritual development garnished from my work as a past-life therapist. A novel, "Hot Tamale Baby," chronicles my adventures in the world of Cajun dance and music. "Your Great Asset, defending your health in the concrete jungle," has recently been published. It is essentially an encyclopedia of nutrition and alternative health.
As far as my "religion": The fact that there is a Supreme Being (the Void, the Tao that can be spoken of is not the Tao) which the universe is an expression of is a given. Saying I'm agnostic means I question the "human" characteristics and concepts projected onto the many gods that the human mind conjures--"an errand-boy to satisfy your wandering desires." (Dylan has lots of good sayings)
I am not a paying member and can not read your message unless I pay to become a member. So, I will hotlist you if I perceive there is a genuine connection between us. I would consider moving to another rural location with a year-round growing season. I might add I'm in really good health. Aside from having some skin cancer removed, I haven't been to a doctor since they tore out my tonsils when I was nine years old -- been a lifelong health nut and definitely in better health than 99% of the people I see in the grocery store. Take care chere.
About My Match
Happy person with a big heart and open mind--kindred spirit, possibly someone to dance with and play music (acoustic folk, cajun, etc), a person who would appreciate a heart-to-heart connection with a resourceful character who is into good nutrition, good living, with a deep interest in the truth about this life and beyond...
