About Me
Hi! I'm Lorien.
I'm a pretty easygoing guy. I have a good sense of humor, I'm curious about almost everything, and I enjoy a good conversation. I like meeting people, hearing their stories, and learning how they see the world. I'm also the kind of person who gets interested in something and wants to understand how it works. Sometimes that leads to a new hobby, and sometimes it leads to an adventure.
I love to cook, especially when I get to try something new. I enjoy gardening, movies, music, and discovering little restaurants with food I've never tried before. I can be perfectly happy spending a quiet evening at home, but I also enjoy getting out and seeing what's around the next corner.
One of my dreams is to explore the world by sailboat. I've been learning to sail, and I'm planning to buy a boat and start exploring the Caribbean. I love the idea of visiting different countries, meeting people, and experiencing their cultures. And I think it would be wonderful to share those experiences with someone special.
I was happily married for 25 years before my wife passed away. I know how wonderful it is to have someone you love beside you, whether you're doing something exciting or absolutely nothing at all. I'd like to find that kind of relationship again.
I'm not looking for someone to follow me around the world. I'd like to meet someone who has dreams of her own, someone who wants to build a life together and see where it takes us.
And although I may look like a fairly conservative, clean-cut guy, appearances can be deceiving. I've been known to get into a little mischief, and I firmly believe life is more fun when you don't take yourself too seriously. I've even survived a Rocky Horror Picture Show virgin initiation. You'll have to ask me about that one!
