About Me

Since you already know what I look like, I'll tell you about my personality:

I majored in history for undergrad, and international relations for graduate school. I love traveling and have been to 36 countries for work and leisure. I am a published writer and novelist. I love science fiction and fantasy. I like to learn about other cultures and try new foods.

I like to support my lover. For example, I like to cook for my paramour and I like to fix my girl's car or building her things. I like to take my lady out and get her dressed up so we can ballroom dance and she can feel like a princess.

I'm not a braggart or a show-off. I have a strong sense of honor and justice, and I like to help people. I am a very logical person, but also very affectionate and a bit sentimental and romantic. I'm slow to anger, and don't hold grudges or have cold shoulders. I'm pensive, but not a pushover.

I like to cuddle and tease playfully. I like humorous people and appreciate all kinds of humor, so long as it isn't used as a smiling dagger to hurt somebody.

I'm a very active person, and enjoy the outdoors, but I also like tabletop party games, movies, and cooking together. I like to exercise, especially for challenges like 5Ks, charity walks, hiking, lifting and weights. I don't like to drink and never smoke, I'm very conscientious about my health and fitness.

I dislike shopping for groceries alone - as a couple it's much more fun. I also dislike eating alone.

I don't like passive-aggressive people or self-righteousness. I don't tolerate sexism, racism, dogma, or bigotry.

Children are extremely important to me - otherwise I wouldn't be single. I want to be a father, and a very engaged one, I want to raise kids and teach them things and shower them with love. I'd say family is always more important than career. If you don't feel that way, I'm not for you.

About My Match

I just want a reliable romantic partner. Somebody to travel with. Somebody who likes watching star trek or reading books and telling me about her ideas and interesting things she learned.

I've been looking for somebody that someday would like children and won't push religion on me or be superstitious. Religion is a deal-breaker for me - I've had too many bad experiences with zealotry.

Somebody who won't cheat and won't leave me with a dead bedroom.

Somebody who will share burdens and challenges with me and be fair about chores - I'll do my fair share. If you want to work, then work, but don't be a slave to your job.

Somebody who will treat their body well and not let themselves go after a year or two in a relationship. A woman who will go with me to exercise and we can encourage each other to be our best selves.

Turn ONs: Good manners, humor, a cat in the sack. Turn OFFs: cruelty, crassness, coldness, religion.
