The woman in their culture is adored, but she is expected to stay true to tradition and keep her place in the home, including acknowledging the man as head of the household. Though most men are religious, they are generally easy-going and tolerant.

The predominant religion is Islam and its official languages are Berber and Arabic. The land consists of mountainous areas, with the Sahara desert and the coastal plains making up the rest. The climate here is Mediterranean, though it becomes quite a bit more hot toward the interior.
