Qatari men are non-aggressive and polite; they do not rudely stare at women and usually look down when she makes eye contact. Marriage for them is a big commitment to make and they take relationships very seriously. Most Qatari citizens belong to the strict Wahhabi sect of Islam and that influences their life very much – arranged marriages are still common and men usually wear a thobe, (a long white loose garment) in public, which reflects a sense of modesty.
