Saint Lucia is a sovereign island country in the eastern part of the Lesser Antilles. The official language is English, however Saint Lucian Creole French is spoken by 95% of the population. The majority of the population is Catholic. Tropical and volcanic Saint Lucia is more mountainous than many other of the Caribbean islands.
